CREW
AMELIA BOGIRA
Director
As director my primary responsibility was building trust and maintaining a strong working relationship with our protagonist Rio. My motivation for making this documentary was to create something real and honest. I always feel drawn to people stories of overcoming significant challenges, particularly when so many people take their bodies and mind for granted prompting me to highlight the resilience of someone who defines the odds. I collaborated closely with every department in production making sure the creative vision was being delivered as well as in post-production working extensively with the editor to shape and refine the final cut.

LILY ROBINSON
Producer & Lighting Op
As the producer, my role was to organise and manage the overall production of the film, this included planning good camera shots and ensuring filming runs smoothly. I was responsible for overseeing the project from the initial idea through to the final edit, ensuring the film meets its deadline and is successful. As the lighting operator my responsibility was to set up and control the lighting, despite many of the shoots not needing lighting equipment, it was still my responsibility to find good locations with natural light that would work well for each shot.
FINN WHITE
Editor & Sound Operator
As the sound operator my main role on set was working with the microphone and recording equipment, which included radio mics clipped onto Rio. On each set I was able to adjust the sound accordingly for each scene. In addition, I’m also the film editor which has required me to work closely with the director and the rest of the crew to make sure the film looks and sounds to what is asked. These 2 roles have been very important to bringing the film to life are essential to making the final product.

GEORGE CRUISE
Camera Operator
Within this project my main role was as the camera operator. This meant that I was responsible for the cinematic look of the film and all the visual aspects like filming, composition and making the best use of the lighting. In this role I worked closely with the director to realise her vision. I also worked closely alongside the sound recordist to make sure the shots were clear of sound equipment. I enjoyed learning more about the FX6 camera as I had not used it previously and had to familiarise myself with the camera and the aspects that make it unique.
